Appearing Rooms
Jeppe Hein
2023

For the temporary installation of Jeppe Hein’s artwork “Appearing Rooms,” I designed a poster that captures the essence of the fountain-based art piece. Employing a minimalistic Swiss poster approach allowed us to effectively connect with the audience while ensuring the concept was adaptable across various platforms. This included digital screens, Instagram stories and reels, as well as posters displayed throughout the city and in institutions.

Grand OpeningNew building of Kunsthaus Baselland
2024

Kunsthaus Baselland is a prominent institution showcasing contemporary art in the Baselland area. When they moved into a new building, I was tasked with creating an animation for the promotion of their grand opening. The design depicted the abstract forms of three towers, significant architectural elements of the building. The animation created an illusion of entering the building and exploring its spaces, effectively inviting people to experience the new venue.

Atelier Mondial
Open Call
2023

Atelier Mondial, situated in Basel at the border of Germany and France, commissioned me to create promotional materials for their 2023 art residency open call. The design incorporated three languages, reflecting the institution’s location, swirled within oval shapes reminiscent of their logo. The poster was developed for both digital and print formats, ensuring broad accessibility and visibility.

Kyiv Ensemble UKHO
2017— 2019, 2022

Over several seasons of collaboration with UKHO Music, one of Kyiv’s leading music collectives, I developed their distinctive visual communication through poster design. UKHO Music is an ensemble dedicated to contemporary academic music, aiming to educate and engage its audience.

Given the collective’s unique and alternative style for each season, I crafted a visual narrative that emphasised the exclusivity of their events. This approach not only highlighted the uniqueness of their performances but also established a memorable and recognisable visual identity for audiences appreciative of abstract and unconventional music.

Net Making
Ukrainian Pavilion at the 60-thLa Biennale di Venezia
2023–2024

The theme of the Ukrainian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2024 was collective practices. Our approach was to establish the event’s identity around a custom font inspired by the netting process. This font was designed to be visually striking in motion, adaptable across various platforms including websites, digital and print posters, Instagram, and within the exhibition space itself. It serves as a cohesive element that reflects and reinforces the exhibition’s theme.

The overall visual communication strategy focused on creating both static and motion content with a present in time appearance. This approach allowed our team to effectively represent the diverse pool of artists involved in the project. Additionally, we placed a significant emphasis on Instagram as a communication channel, ensuring that Ukrainians unable to visit Venice could stay informed about the exhibition.

2022

For the collaboration between the RB luxury brand and LVR, a luxury retailer, the concept was to bring the essence of the Ukrainian spring to Italy. My role involved creating the visual communication for the collaboration, which included designing the showcase and developing the concept for the video. The video featured a girl walking through a green Ukrainian field inside a yellow cube and emerging in Italy, symbolically represented by the store’s arch.

A blue cloth initially draped over the store served as a teaser for the video. During the opening, the cloth fell, revealing the store and evoking the colours of the Ukrainian flag. The visual communication, in both digital and print formats, centered around Ukrainian crafts and fields, incorporating wheat elements to align with the brand’s hat production and Ukraine’s agricultural heritage. Additionally, a 2-meter logo made of wheat was installed in another arch of the shop.
