KHARKIV PHOTO FORUM
2020

KHARKIV PHOTO FORUM was held from 18 to 21 August 2020. From the very beginning, the forum was planned as a large offline event to bring together Ukrainian and foreign researchers in Kharkiv, present exhibition projects of the Kharkiv School of Photography representatives, attract a wide audience to discuss various aspects of the Kharkiv school. Through the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine events, the forum transformed into an online event. A scientific conference, round tables, book presentations, and virtual exhibition projects were held online for four days on the forum's website. The main purpose of a number of these events was to contextualize the phenomenon of the Kharkiv school, expand the idea of its definition and boundaries, reveal the differences and similarities of aesthetic approaches of its participants, as well as attract a wide audience to study the practices of Kharkiv photography. The results of the forum are a printed catalogue and various digital materials (recordings of conference presentations, exhibitions, and an electronic version of the catalogue), which are available online on the website: kphf.com.ua
